the most important thing for an unborn child’s health is to have a healthy mom. The expecting mother’s diet clearly affects the child’s development. We also know that things such as smoking or drinking alcohol during pregnancy have an adverse effect on the child.

Another issue is high blood pressure that develops during pregnancy. Medical term for this is pre-eclampsia and it’s a significant risk factor for both the mother and child. A recent study suggests that new onset of snoring during pregnancy may indicate that the mother is at a higher risk of developing this condition.

This is important because we know from experience with sleep apnea that treatment with CPAP can help correct the problem. This suggested may be of help in this situation as well.
