High blood pressure is a personal issue for us. We both have it, despite living what I consider a pretty healthy lifestyle.  We stay with grass fed beef, love vegetables, have salmon at least once a week, go light with the salt, exercise regularly and all that good stuff  but still have significantly elevated blood pressure readings.

The funny (or actually sad) thing about high blood pressure is that you can have it and feel fine – no symptoms at all.  That is, no symptoms at all until you have a big one.

Again, this is personal.  One of my cousins had a stoke at age 52 because he didn’t know he had high blood pressure.  Same with Jackie’s sister – stroke at a young age probably related to her high blood pressure.  Jackie’s sister is doing well; my cousin… not so much.
